Genmab is an international biotechnology company specializing in the invention and development of differentiated human antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer and other important human diseases.The RoleFor the Functional Characterization and Bioassays team we are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring scientist. You will be part of a multidisciplinary international team to manufacture state of the art antibody therapeutics. The group develops bioactivity assays used by internal and external parties, such as Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), to demonstrate the quality and characteristics of our antibody products. In this role you will be responsible for managing bioassay development and validation activities, collaborating with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and CMOs, and for providing internal support for late stage development projects.ResponsibilitiesWith your up to date knowledge and experience you represent the CMC bioassay expertise within our organization.You design fit for purpose bioassays that cover the mechanism of action of our products and work closely together with a team of Research Associates to implement these assays.You collaborate with the CROs/CMOs as necessary and provide expert input to validation, questions, and sample analysis.You check compliance with GXP and FDA regulations.You are responsible for the functional characterization approach and are involved in the execution of structure-function studies.You keep the team up to date with the latest developments in the field, such as novel technologies and regulatory requirements.Skills & ExperienceYou are experienced in bioassay development and validation. You follow new scientific and regulatory developments closely and take an active role in your field of expertise. You are highly motivated to achieve the goals that are important to Genmab’s therapeutic antibody projects. You are an excellent communicator and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties. You enjoy working in a team and your enthusiasm motivates others.Moreover, you meet the following professional requirements:You have a PhD qualification within a relevant life science or biotechnology-based subject.You have approximately two years’ experience in a similar role from either industry or academia, gaining experience of hands-on assay development and validation activities. You have experience with the development of immunological and cell-based assays (e.g. ELISA, luminescence assays). Experience with qPCR is a plus.You have knowledge within the immunology and/or oncology field.Previous experience of managing external collaborations is beneficial.You can run several projects parallel to each other and adjust priorities appropriately together with the team.You are motivated by delivering high quality output.Work experience with regulatory guidelines or statistics for product related assays would be advantageous.You have excellent relational and communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage, but not required).In case you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Recruiter Mark Stickland at ext-fts-#removed# employees work with determination and with respect for each other, consistent with our core values, to achieve our common goals.
