The residential care officer provides support and promotes individual needs, skills, abilities and goals for those with disabilities. This may include performing a range of household and health care tasks to support the health and wellbeing of clients, as well as providing opportunity for community access and inclusion. We need people who are resilient, self-confident, passionate about positive outcomes and excited about the opportunities being created for people with a disability.Essential criteria
  • Diploma or higher qualifications or equivalent experience
  • experience in providing support to clients with a physical or intellectual disability
  • an understanding of the NDIS framework
  • excellent written and oral skills
  • outstanding interpersonal skills, flexible, patient and ability to relate well to all levels of society that Wesley Mission interacts with
  • proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • first aid certificate
  • NSW Class C drivers licence (must have a minimum of a P2 licence to drive a Wesley Mission vehicle)
