CLDN is a group of companies, each active in a different branch within shipping and logistics. CLdN Ro-Ro owns a fleet of over 30 ro-ro vessels, which together account for almost 140 sailings per week, between 11 ports in Europe. They mainly ship new vehicles, containers, trailers and project cargo.  C.RO Ports operates several terminals in the ports of Rotterdam (NL), Zeebrugge (BE), Killingholme and Purfleet (UK). Besides handling the CLdN ferries, they offer third party stevedoring and some very specific services for the automotive industry. In order to comply with the obligations under the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), CLdN is looking to recruit an experienced GDPR Officer UK/NL/F M/F/X for its headquarter in Luxembourg. Reporting to the CLO and working closely with all relevant departments (IT, Legal, …), the GDPR Officer will further implement  GDPR policies and monitor the compliance thereof and manage data practices on a Group level.  He/she will be the actor of fostering a culture of data protection and also serve as a key contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organisation. Within this role, you will handle the following tasks in an autonomous way: Implementation of GDPR policies and internal compliance setup; Conducting and implementing ongoing reviews of the data protection framework; Monitoring in a continuous way changes to local Data Protection laws and informing operations and management about developments on a Group level; Coordinating and conducting GDPR audits when necessary; Setting standards and reviewing contracts, policies and procedures globally that meet the GDPR requirements; Informing and advising the Company and employees of their obligations pursuant to GDPR and any other obligations required; Serving as the primary point of contact and liaison for the local authorities or other on all data protection related matters under the GDPR; Advising and working actively with internal stakeholders in the review of projects and operations to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws; Ad hoc projects … You have a proven hands-on experience in a similar role; You hold a University degree; a GDPR certification and/or a Law degree will be considered as an asset; You have a strong knowledge of EU data privacy and data protection regulation; You have good writing skills and the ability to manage time well, prioritise effectively, and handle multiple deadlines. You have a hands-on attitude and are proactive with an excellent business oriented judgment; You have strong communication skills and can easily collaborate with internal clients, external partners, and other stakeholders including our board of directors; You have an experience of working in an international and multicultural organisation and the ability to work unsupervised; You are fluent in English and Dutch, French or other languages are considered as an advantage; You have advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoi...
